Secure Broker

Broker Certification for
Alternative Finance

Good companies should be easy to find.

Our Mission

Secure Broker™ is a new industry initiative working to reduce the misuse of business funding applications in alternative finance. In a space with inconsistent oversight and limited barriers to entry, the program independently certifies brokers taking steps to protect sensitive information at the highest-concentration point of risk: the initial application package. The goal is to make responsible companies easier to identify, strengthen accountability, and reduce the opportunity for stolen data to move through the industry.

Alternative finance needs one too — something industry-specific and more practical for this community. The goal is not to make this hard. It’s to make responsible companies easier to find in an industry that could really use it.

What is “Backdooring”?

A long-standing practice that continues to undermine trust in alternative finance.
